Responding to fraud in real-time just got easier. We're excited to announce that the Lithic Authorization Rules product is now available directly in the Lithic Dashboard, giving card programs a powerful visual tool to combat fraud and control transaction decisioning without writing code. This new capability brings our robust fraud prevention and spending control features into an intuitive interface, enabling both technical and non-technical users to respond immediately to suspicious activity and manage transaction rules with ease.

Immediate Fraud Response Without Code
Whether you're proactively setting velocity controls to limit spend, or reactively fighting suspicious or fraudulent activity, Authorization Rules in the Lithic Dashboard lets you act immediately. Create and deploy rules in minutes through a simple interface that helps you define exactly which transactions should be blocked based on attributes like:
- Merchant ID or descriptor
- Country
- Transaction amount
- Entry mode (chip, contactless, etc.)
- Merchant Category Code (MCC)
- Risk score
- Network liability shift indicators
- And more

Comprehensive Transaction Controls
The Lithic Dashboard interface makes it simple to apply rules exactly where they're needed:
- Program-wide rules that affect all cards
- Account-level controls for users with many cards
- Card-level rules for individual use cases
- Ability to exclude specific cards or accounts from program-wide rules

Advanced Velocity Management
Beyond conditional rules based on transaction attributes, you can now also set and manage velocity limits directly through the Lithic Dashboard. These limits help you control:
- The number of transactions over various time periods
- The total spend amount over various time periods
- Limits based on fixed calendar days, weeks, or months
- Limits based on custom rolling time windows for more precise control
- Filters to limit velocities for specific MCCs or countries
Velocity limits can be applied alongside other rules and conditions, giving you comprehensive control over your card program's transaction patterns.

Getting Started
The Authorization Rules interface is now available in the Lithic Dashboard under the "Authorization Rules" tab. Existing API-configured rules are automatically visible and manageable through the interface, and any rules created via the Lithic Dashboard are immediately accessible through the API.
For technical teams already using our Authorization Rules API, the Lithic Dashboard provides a complementary tool that allows non-technical team members to view and manage rules without requiring development resources.
